Africa today is a continent in turmoil and transition. After years of colonial rule and exploitation, they are struggling to find their own identity. War, disease, instability, bigotry and genocide threatens to disrupt its development as a continent. But Africa has the potential and resources to overcome much of the unrest it is experiences and in time will succeed and again become a center of trade, commerce and culture.
