"Global climate change needs global action now. The alarm bells ought to be ringing in every capital of the world"
John Gummer, British Environment Secretary

Tips

Often people question their role in global warming, given the immense environmental factors.
But we do affect the climate, not so much as individuals but as a collective. Billions of people all doing the same negative or positive behavior can have a dramatic impact on the environment,
for example in the United States the average  American drives in one year over 10,000 miles and releases as a group over 5.5 tons of Carbon Monoxide into the atmosphere. Thinking in a global view imagine how much CO2 is being release from all the cars on the planet. Working together we can not stop the natural changes that are causing some of the global warming trends but we can slow down and mitigate the effects we have on the environment.

One Billion Bulbs
Imagine the possibilities.  Imagine if people all over the world mobilized to replace one billion standard incandescent light
bulbs with energy-efficient compact fluorescent (CFL) light bulbs.  What would that mean?  It would mean that those people would save money each month on their electricity bill.  It would mean they would save enough energy to light tens of millions
of homes for a year.  It would mean the prevention of greenhouse gases equivalent to the annual emissions of millions of cars.
