The Magna Carta

Medieval Period
The Middle Ages
AD 500 to 1509.

World History With collapse of the Roman Empire in the 5th century the Barbarians created new kingdoms. Based on a feudal system of economics, government and culture The middle ages (Medieval) reached its height in the 11th–13th centuries. The Roman Catholic Church was the predominant spiritual and political power. They clashed with royalty since over the of the power of the Popes. it was a time of emerging royalty, poor peasants, fortified castles, knightschivalry, Vikings, Huns, cathedrals, plagues, heresy, inquisitionscrusades, emerging trade, universities and the growth of individual towns . The Middle Ages declined as the Feudal System failed, papal authority waned,  population declined and people looked for new leadership.
"The Middle Ages (adjectival form: medieval, mediaeval or medięval) is a periodization of European history, encompassing the period from the 5th century to the 15th century. The Middle Ages follows the fall of the Western Roman Empire in 476 and precedes the Early Modern Era. It is the middle period of a three-period division of Western history: Classical, Medieval and Modern. The term "Middle Ages" first appears in Latin in the 15th century and reflects the view that this period was a deviation from the path of classical learning, a path that was later reconnected by Renaissance scholarship."
