“When the power of love overcomes the love of power, the world will know peace.”
Jimi Hendrix

Peace is a concept denoting the  absence of hostilities. Other definitions include  freedom from disputes, silence, harmonious relations, or inner contentment and serenity, as the meaning of the word changes with context. Source Wikipedia
"A peace activist is a political activist who strives for peace, and against war. Peace activists are part of the peace movement. The role played by peace activists in preventing wars have been questioned in a paper published by Dr. Lawrence S Wittner, in which it was stated that "rather than peace activism putting an end to war, war puts an end to peace activism". A strong inspiration to many peace activists in recent times was the Cold War threat of nuclear proliferation, which spawned the Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament. Source: Wikipedia
