Unemployment   Career Guide Career Center Vocational
Employment provides security, income, feelings of worth, food and housing to the individual and their family. Businesses and governments are the prime source of work. If unemployment increases public misery also increases proportionally. Both government and business must do everything in their power to to slow down the rate of unemployment and secure jobs for those who are seeking work. If a person for whatever reason losses a job there must be a safety net to prevent hunger and people from living in tents on our streets. Employers need to hire people regardless of sex, age, race or nationality, who are qualified for the work! They must treat all employees with respect and understanding. If an employee is efficient and productive honor him or her and not fire them due to jealousy from higher ups! In hiring employers sometimes use the phrase "over qualified" as an excuse for age, sex, race and nationality discrimination. Schools need to return to the day when they also taught not only academic skills but also training in mechanical fields such as AC and  car repair and other similar fields. It makes no sense that all students need to go to colleges and universities! Unfortunately some employers are now contemplating using AI to replace workers and thus increasing the unemployment rate!
