The concept that life
exists outside of our planet and
that we are being visited and
influenced by aliens is not new,
records and discussions go back
centuries. Native tribes have myths
and legends about gods and goddess
influencing them and guiding them in
their daily lives and actions along
with changing their civilizations
and culture. Even some religions
make references to some sort of
activity.
Books, (such as War of the
Worlds, Chariot of the Gods)
Films (ET, Independence
Day) spin tales and now a new film
Disclosure Day has sparked the
publics interest a new. The
government is in the process of
releasing new findings on their
existence, which could have a
profound influence on our
understandings of the Universe. So
far what they have released has not
been concrete (time will tell what
more they will give us) I find the
possibility that life exists on far
away planets and systems intriguing.
Surely we are not, as a species
unique and alone in the vastness of
space, if so it will be so lonely.
As to whether we are being visited
by space aliens, either in the past
or now, has many ramifications and
can lead to many conclusions. Have
they helped us as a species in the
past or are they advising us today.
Some TV series stand out in my mind
Star Trek, The Xfiles, Alien
Nation have dealt with this topic.
Only time will tell, and hopefully
we will find out that they will be
or have been benefitual.
