Blog Weather
Weather is the condition of a region of the Earth over a short period of time, such as days or weeks. Climate on the other hand is the prevailing weather conditions (winds, temperature, air pressure, humidity, rain, sunshine and cloudiness) of a region or the earth over a long period of time i.e. decades, centuries and longer periods of time. Climate can be influenced by human activity, the Earth's orbit, Solar activity, Plate Tectonics, Government  Actions and of course the Green House Effects. Many skeptics today don't believe the scientist but the Earth is showing signs of change. Additional information can be found at: Weather Basics, What is Weather?, and Weather and Climate Basics, Climate.
I taught Honors Geography and had sections on weather and the environment. Here are some conclusions and information I taught.

Today there are individuals both public and private that are making outlandish statements that climate change is a hoax and should be ignored or countered. One can see the changes occurring around them at their homes, cities, states, nations and globally. Records are rapidly being set in the number storms, earthquakes , temperatures, fires, diseases floods. hunger, dislocations and, crimes. Companies that ignore the situation for financial gain are setting the stage for corporate and financial disasters. Government officials that are countering established solutions and enabling anti climate change laws, policies and programs while encourage fossil fuel development are only furthering the rapid changes in the demise of our planet and will be regretted by future generations. It is urgent that nationally, locally and internationally we take substantial actions, corrections and programs to protect our planet!!!
"Climate change is real. It is happening right now, it is the most urgent threat facing our entire species and we need to work collectively together and stop  procrastinating"  Leonardo Di Caprio,
