"What we need are critical lovers of America - patriots who express their faith in their country by working to improve it."
Hubert H. Humphrey

Modern America

The turn of the 19th to the 20th century brought vast changes in the way people thought, worked and lived. Two world wars, one cold war and numerous smaller conflicts have been fought. Globalization has changed the face of commerce. We live longer and travel faster. Communication is now instantaneous and world wide. Wars are deadlier and more violent  We have gone to the moon and are on the verge of reaching for the stars. The world is going through a period of change that will lead to either a bright  or a lethal future. We need to make choices that will be both wise and comprehensive.
