Ancient Israel (Judah Palestine)

IsraelAncient Israel (Also known as Judah or Palestine) had its founding during the Biblical Era. It developed into two distinct kingdoms Israel in the north and Judah in the south. They were conquered many times by the Assyrians, Babylonians, Greeks (Alexander the Great) and finally by Pompey (Romans). Its greatest contribution was Judaism  which later became the foundation for Christianity.
