 From ancient
times the Middle East has had a rich culture and
history. The arts and science, mathematics,
language, religions laws, had their beginnings in
ancient Phoenicia, Sumer, Persia, and Egypt, It is the birth
place of three of the worlds great religions. Today the
Middle East is in great turmoil. It is a land of great wealth,
violence and uncertainty. The people yearn for peace and
prosperity but must deal with insurgencies, inequality and
daily violence. To understand how to correct these problems we
must understand their culture and history. |
