African History

Africa is the cradle of human development. It is rich in culture and resources. Early Africa was dominated by a tribal system up until the arrival of the Europeans, and they often fought with each other. Some of the great early civilizations such as the Egyptians and the Zimbabwe flourished in Africa thousands of years ago. The imperialism of the Europeans changed the traditions and tribal connections and as a result the continent has gone through some very difficult times.
