Humans have always had some form or another of government. They found it necessary for protection from other individuals and tribes. It took many forms such as stronger individuals, military leaders, and groups that the societies looked for advice to the , enforcement of traditions, religions and other features of their existence. The main ideas of government are what is called Theories of Power such as Force Theory caused by conquest, Evolutionary Theory as a result of changes in tribal structures,  Divine Right Theory, to maintain or justify a religion and political power and royal position and finally Social Contract Theory to maintain mutual protection and to justify the position of a sovereign Much of out present systems have evolved from Greece, Rome the Middle Ages and the Enlightenment. Today we face challenges to the present forms of  Democracies, and Republics. Authoritarian leaning individuals, organizations, religions, government and social media are using political, military, economic and social pressure to create and influence the many world governments. We as individuals must understand what is happening and use common sense and history to prevent the loss of our freedoms by using protesting, voting, social media, legal avenues, political pressure and in some cases religious resources. Education is the key to understand what is happening and we should insist that what is being taught involve questioning and thinking. It is important that governments are created to do the bidding of the people not specific individuals, organizations, businesses or foreign governments. Remember we have a government of the people , for the people and by the people.
"America will never be destroyed from the outside. If we falter and lose our freedoms, it will be because we destroyed it ourselves." Lincoln
Sir Winston Churchill: "It has been said that democracy is the worst form of government except all the others that have been tried from time to time."
